Pure Elegance: The Wonder of Mathematics
This exhibition on mathematics is a direct response to President Obama’s Educate to Innovate Campaign calling for STEM literacy so that students can learn “deeply and think critically in science, math, engineering and technology.” Pure Elegance will deconstruct the abstract nature of math by placing it in the realm of everyday life, and show its relevance in the daily transactional encounters of our lives. It will engage schoolchildren on the wonder of mathematics — from quantity, structure and pattern to space and change — through compelling interactive and multimedia display.
